That definitely isn't what we'd expect, Johnny! The batteries in our brushes should be lasting 3-5 years, so we're very sorry to hear that this wasn't the case for you. Please know that our toothbrushes go through many quality checks and will also come with a 2-year warranty based on proof of purchase. We'd be happy to help get you started so please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Nice budget priced toothbrush

This is a no-frills electric tooth brush. The problematic battery charger is a real thing. Mine never charges to the point where the green light stops blinking, whether it's 24 or 48 hours. But I've rarely encountered a red light signifying no juice. I don't know which brush to use so I've been alternating crosscut and gum sensitive. It's not clear to me what makes the brushes different. They all are too expensive. The toothbrush seems to be effective at cleaning my teeth, and the price is comparatively low. The timer "shudder" goes on way past 30 seconds, more like a minute.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible

This is the worst electric toothbrush. It sounds like a boat motor when using it and then it sputters occasionally. Do not waste your money. You’re better off using a manual brush.
Response from Oralb.comBy Aizaz Khalid, The Oral-B Team, July 18, 2022
A healthy smile is so important to us. However, so too is an exceptional brushing experience. We're sorry that your Oral-B Pro 1000 is sputtering and being loud, but be assured this isn't normal. It's possible that the brush head may be worn down, not placed on the handle right, or hardened toothpaste could be the cause. We recommend rinsing your toothbrush with warm water and using another brush head as this may help. We'd love to hear from you about this, so please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Does a great job cleaning.... but only if it's charged. It says it should last 5-10 days on a charge. I've had mine for less than a year and it barely lasts the two minutes it takes to brush.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You're right. A full charge can take up to 22 hours and enables up to ten days of regular brushing when brushing twice a day for 2 minutes every session. We're sorry to hear that you're no longer getting that amount of time per charge but know this isn't what we expect. Try fully discharging the brush, fully charging it, and discharging it completely again. Do this cycle 3 times, and it may improve the battery life. These tips may help, but we'd like to hear from you about this and assist you further. Please call us at (800) 566-7252.

Just received the toothbrush. The on / off button is too hard to push. and find to operate ..Pulses during brushing are annoying. .Should have bought the Phillips.
Response from Oralb.comBy Erin Gullison, Customer Care, June 27, 2023
The ease of your brushing sessions is of the utmost importance to us, so we're sorry that you found our Oral-B Pro1000 CrossAction Toothbrush too hard to press, and that your find the pulsating annoying. It's designed to inform you when every 30 seconds are up, and so that you can use this brush with ease. Your feedback is important to us, and we'd like to hear from you about this, and we'd like to find you a brush that works perfectly for you. Please call us at (800) 566-7252.

Charging issues-big time!
on May 19, 2024

I have been using this product for less than 6 months; after 8 hours of charging, it sputters to a halt after less than 2 minutes of use. This has never happened with any other Oral B electric toothbrushes i have used through the years and I am quite disappointed at the weakness of the product.
Response from Oralb.comBy Customer Care, May 20, 2024
We're so sorry to hear your toothbrush hasn't been holding a charge, and would like to help. Please know, there are many quality checks in place to help ensure only the best products reach you, and would expect your toothbrush to work well for 3-5 years. This toothbrush should be charged for 22 hours, and should run up to 10 days when brushing for 2 minutes, twice per day. It can help to try a different charger if you have one available, and use a different outlet. We also recommend your toothbrush isn't being charged on or near a metal surface. So that we can help you further, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Instructions Too Dense

I think that I like this toothbrush, but the instructions are not helpful. The print is tiny because they try to pack in information in several languages and for several different models plus all the lawyer dictated warnings. All I wanted to know is why there are three different button presses on the toothbrush and what they do. It seems to be sensitivity settings or something of that nature, but nowhere does it say, "press once for x, press twice for y, & press three times for z." Perhaps I should get out my microscope to take another look at the very fine print. It might be in there somewhere.

Bad chargers

We bought an Oral-B Pro 1000 rechargeable toothbrush a few months back for its size and advertised use. The charger did not work, it would not recharge the toothbrush. No problem, we had an old charger that worked just fine. Yesterday we bought a second Oral-B1000 rechargeable toothbrush for the same reason as the first. Again, the charger doesn’t work and will not recharge the toothbrush. We are again using the old chargers we have from our old toothbrushes. We like the product but quality control of your chargers is missing.

We're sorry to hear this, Bruce. With the extensive quality tests that our brushes and chargers undergo, we expect them to give your smile a great clean for many years. This surely isn't the result we expect, so we'd like to learn more. When you have a chance, please give our team a call at (800) 566-7252.
