Just bought the twin pack of the pro 1000 and the powered button only has 1 mode. It is suppose to have 3 modes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're very sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience with the Oral-B Pro 1000 Cross Action toothbrush, Joe. We put all of our brushes through extensive quality checks to ensure they deliver the brushing experience you'd expect. Please know the Pro 1000's only cleaning mode is 3D Cleaning Action; which oscillates, rotates and pulsates to break up and remove more plaque than a regular manual toothbrush. We'd like to learn more about your experience, and help you further. Please give us a call at 1(800) 566-7252.

On off switch
on February 20, 2024
Posted by: Jimd
I've had many Oral B tooth brushs through the years. They are good for cleaning teeth. My complaint is that I have purchased quite a few for me and my wife. They break for the same thing each time poor design of the on off switch. Come on Oral B the surface mount switch needs to be a heavier design.
Response from Oralb.comBy Customer CareFebruary 21, 2024
We understand the frustration when you have to pause your brushing routine due to your toothbrush, and we'll be happy to try and help you get back to brushing as soon as possible, Jim. Your toothbrush should last at least three years with regular use, and hearing from consumers like you helps us improve. This isn't the high standard we would expect after extensive inspections during manufacturing, and the Quality Assurance team would like to look into your product details. Call us anytime at 1-800-566-7252, M - F, 9 am to 6 pm EST for further assistance.

Poor design compared to older models
on March 25, 2024

Worst toothbrush design, this is my 3rd or 4th one I have owned . Slips out of your hand because they cut costs eliminating gripping that existed on older models. Difficult to turn off due to design change from previous models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On off button is difficult to operate
on March 25, 2024
Posted by: Ann 49
I purchased Oral B RRAUN a month ago. It cuts out several times as if my two minutes were up while brushing. The on off button takes a couple times to start and to turn off. Once turned on and keeps running it's great. Then keep pressing the little button to turn off. :(
I threw away the box and probably can't return it. The last BRAUN I bought lasted years.

I have used the Oral B electric toothbrush for years. I ordered my third one because the old one wouldn't hold a charged. I used the new one for the first time today and it kept slipping out of my hand, The old one had grip material all the way around it. The new one (1000) only has grip material on the back. Add some water and toothpaste and it slips right out.

Gross.
on December 28, 2024
Posted by: Disappointed user
The brush head has a hole in it and the vibrating mechanism is exposed. Spit and toothpaste enters the hole, runs down the inside, and flows out onto the handle. Your hand will be covered in it. Impossible to use without wrapping the handle in a cloth.
Pressure feature is impossible to recognize, should be removed from literature as a feature.
Bristles and motion are effective but is so small I brush 4 minutes instead of two in order to clean teeth effectively.
Do not purchase.
Response from Oralb.comBy Customer CareJanuary 7, 2025
We certainly don't want to leave you feeling disappointed, and would like to help. Please know, we carry out extensive research and consumer testing when designing our products. Our toothbrushes are also designed to be comfortable to hold and easy to use for a wide variety of consumers. We recommend to use sufficient, but not too much toothpaste. During brushing, the brush should be placed inside the mouth and the mouth should be closed as much as possible to minimize spilling etc. Also important to ensure the brush head is properly cleaned after each brush session to ensure the hole at the front of the brush head is not clogged as this might lead to more spatter. When you're brushing too hard, the pulsations will stop to let you know. So that we can learn more and help you further, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.
