This is my first electric toothbrush and I wasn't expecting it to be so aggressive on my teeth and gums. I just learned that the next model up has a sensitive option.

Safety is our number one priority, and all of our products are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed, so we certainly wouldn’t expect your toothbrush to feel aggressive. We’d like to learn more to share with our Safety Team and help with this, so please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.
I loved my last Oral B electric toothbrush. It died and I was gifted a SonicCare. I missed my OralB so much that my mom purchased this for me. I am BEYOND disappointed. It is obnoxiously loud and aggressive. It feels cheap. The pressure sensor light is very bright and distracting when brushing. Most disappointing is the lack of a two minute timer. Pulses every 30 seconds aren’t a two minute timer and I don’t know why they are being passed off as such. Oral B products are great, but there is a reason why this is the least expensive model. If you can afford it, upgrade.

We appreciate your loyalty to Oral-B, but we never want to leave you feeling disappointed! It may help to know that the timer pulses every 30 seconds (short stuttering sound) to let you know when to switch areas of the mouth, but there's a longer stuttering sound when 2 minutes is up. The quality of our products is really important to us, so we'd like to learn more about your experience and help! Please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.
My husband and I have had our brushes at least 4 or more years. We change the brush heads when they get crooked bristles or at least 2 times a year maybe. We have no problem charging them. I just read that it takes 22 hours?? We charge overnight and they are done. Why would anyone want a brush that takes 22 hours to charge? I brush morning and night so that would not work for me. I was thinking of replacing our brushes for Christmas, but I think is should just keep this older version a bit longer.
i’ve had my toothbrush for three weeks now. it cleans your teeth nicely but my problem is the fact that it has a terrible battery life. this is my first electric toothbrush, so i’m not sure if it’s normal or not, but it takes 22 hours and sometimes longer just for it to fully charge. and then once it’s done charging, i use it one time for two minutes and the battery light is blinking red telling me it’s already low again. its strange and a little frustrating. it’s also very loud and kind of sounds like a lawn mower. so heads up in case that’s something that may bother you. not sure if i can recommend this toothbrush though, based on the battery life alone.

The Oral-B Pro 1000 has a charge time of 22 hours and should be running up to 7 days on one charge. We’re disappointed to hear this hasn’t been your experience, so we’d like to learn more and help! Please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.
If I could, I would give a zero (no star) rating. I have owned an Oral-B electric toothbrush for almost 15 years. It had 2 different speeds, a 2 minute timer, and a nice sized battery charge adaptor, and it was an exceptional teeth cleaner....so it was the best one ever. However, the battery finally died and I had to get a new one. I figured that since my old was was so fantastic, that I would purchase a new one. Well these Toothbrushes are the absolute WORST ever! First of all, they are extremely loud...you can hear it from another room! They are not really powerful, but the vibration level is Horrible! I got a headache after the first time I used it. And lastly, the battery brush holder doesn't fit snuggly on the charge adapter, so it kind of swivels around Until finally getting in place...BUT my cat can knock it over just by walking by it! . I am deeply disappointed in this very inferior product And the money I spent on it. Do NOT BUY IT!

We hope that you're feeling better, and are sorry to hear about your experience, Jauhara. We strive to provide only the best toothbrushes to our new and long time customers as each is quality tested thoroughly. You must have taken incredible care of your last brush to last 15 years! All of our brushes have an expected decibel range of 65-67 so if you feel as if yours is more this is certainly not something we'd expect to hear. We want to learn more from you for our Health & Safety Teams so please call us at 800 566-7252 when you have time, and afterward, we can see about making this up to you.
I purchased these brushes for my family. I have been using close to a year and just noticed black build up inside the brush head. I had just replaced the head about 2-3 weeks prior. After brushing I was rinsing it with water and large chunks of black came out! I asked my husband to check his and the same thing! This is so gross! I would not recommend this toothbrush at all.

This isn't something that we expect to hear, King. Our toothbrushes are actually made with nonporous material so that things normally can't hold on or grow on them. We recommend removing the brush head and completely rinsing and drying the brushes after each use as it sounds like this might be a build-up of not doing this over time. Please give us a call at 800 566-7252 when you have time so that we can share this with our Quality Assurance Team, and afterward, we can make sure this is the right brush for you.
My last electric toothbrush would last over a week on one charge. This Oral-B is a little disappointing. If it lasts three days, I'm lucky. Not my favorite.

We're very sorry to hear that you're not a fan of the Pro 1000. This toothbrush should be lasting up to 7 days brushing twice a day for two minutes. We'll definitely pass your feedback along and hope that you'll give us a call at (800) 566-7252 if you ever have any questions.
Bought this to replace a 3-speed Oral B that broke after use of use. I never had to lower the speed on the old one, and it was very comfortable at it's fastest speed. This has one speed, and I found it very uncomfortable. I will not use this - I feel like it is way too forceful on the teeth and gums.
