LG top loading washer

Even when set on hot water it is barely warm. Does not put in enough water. Some spots on clothes are totally dry when I take them out of washer. Sometimes there is only an inch of water on the bottom of a large load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked great for 4 1/2 years

I purchased this machine approx. 4 1/2 years ago. worked awesome. Just noticed that it was leaking water. Pulled the rear panel off and ran a load of laundry. Found the leak. the interior steal drum had worn a hole in the exterior plastic housing that contains the drum. never thought that would have happened. need a replacement Not sure if I going with LG or another brand. Have the matching dryer. That still work great!!!
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, easy to use

One major drawback

We bought this machine in July of 2014, and for the first month or two were very happy with it. It does have a huge capacity...seriously, HUGE. It does also clean very well, and does so efficiently. Unfortunately, there is one major flaw. When 'turbo wash' is engaged, the water has a propensity to slosh over the top of the tub, causing the machine to leak from the bottom. Very disappointed with this design flaw.

Good size, some good some bad features

Of course love the capacity of this machine, however that comes with regular incidents of having to pull some clothes out because the spin cycle can't handle the 75% full load. The cleaning phase is way too gentle for my six kids' filth, it barely swishes the clothes back and forth. I want to see them getting sloshed all over the place! The sanitary load is quite impressive! It removed the long standing musty smell from my towels left by my previous front loader and that lingered after the regular towel cycle with this machine. Definitely hate that it does not allow for a soak cycle. The thing drains after 5 mins if you pause or turn it off once it is full. :(

After much research, I purchased this washer and had it professionally installed. After 6 weeks, it is leaking water from underneath the machine. Very disappointed.

Doesn't Get Clothes Clean

We have owned this washer for just under nine months now. I did my research before purchasing it and thought I was buying a good product. It has lots of nice whistles and bells, but it doesn't get clothes clean.....and yes, we do use the proper detergent and we do follow the manufacturers instructions for operating the washer. We purchased all new appliances (including this washer) for our new home. We bought the matching dryer and are 100% satisfied with it. We bought an LG 29 cubic ft, French door refrigerator and are 100% satisfied with it. This washer; however, does not come close to meeting our expectations. It looks great and has lots of nice features, but bottom line, it just will not get your cloths clean.

I am very unhappy with my new washer. I wish I had returned it when I had a chance. It doesn't clean well and my clothes come out very wrinkled. I thought LG was a good brand and couldn't believe that the poor performance was just the way the washer worked so I had a service technician come out to check it and was told that it was working properly. I've only had it for three months but think I will sell it and just take the loss. I do not recommended this product.

I went on a website called 10 top 10 reviews and it rated highest in all categories. Then I went and read the reviews. Everyone seemed to like it and so do I. I went through the house and laundered a variety of items. From the comforters and pillows down to the mopheads it handled fabulous.
