Worst washer I've ever owned
on November 30, 2017

Hardly fills with water enough to get clothes wet in some loads. Gets unbalanced with large loads and keeps filling with water to get it balanced.

Big and Beautiful and works wonders

big, no longer necessary to visit the local coin laundromat to wash beddings and comforters. With 3 cats, that shed constantly we give a washer double duty. This washer meets the task. Love the steam cycles and the turbo wash really works. I love having all the options as not everything is the same all the time. Would I buy it again,
yes, its definitely a great washer.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really wanted to like this washer

I purchased this to replace a front load washer that needed a water pump repaired. It took so long for this one to come in, I ended up spending the money to replace the pump on the old washer anyway. Regretfully I didn't cancel the order for this washer. I'll start by saying, I do live in an older home without updated plumbing. I don't see how this is considered a HE washer compared to a front load, this thing uses quite a bit more water, which is where my plumbing issue comes in. After searching the web for a while, I discovered I'm not alone on this issue. The newer washers pump water out at ridiculous rate. The existing plumbing in my house can't handle it and overflows the drain pipe. I never had an issue with my front load washer because they use so much less water. I've called LG to see if there was a way to reduce the discharge rate either through programming or manually and was told no. Thanks to the return policy where I purchased the washer, I'd basically have to pay them to take it back. As for how well it cleans clothes, well, I haven't fully decided on that. I honestly feel like my front load did a better job, but I've only washed 3 loads in this washer, so it's still debatable. Two things I was very surprised with is the noise level of this washer and (so far) its ability to keep itself balanced. If you decide to purchase this washer, make sure your plumbing can handle to amount of water this thing pumps out or you'll be in the same boat (almost literally) that I'm in.

I don't hate doing laundry anymore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this washer. The drum is so big; it has cut down on the number of loads I wash weekly by at least 50%. It's especially helpful when needing to wash bedding. The control panel also makes it very easy to customize your wash settings.

Another malfunction

I bought the big machine with a big washing tub, but when you fill it the machine shuts down with error codes.
Then you have to open up the lid and take out clothes that are full of water and set them aside so the machine can run. I think the motor is too small for the tub size.
Pros: bad design

The first wash flooded my house then it washed great for a couple of washes then flooded my house again. It has done this at least six times in the first month. The repairman really had no clue. Meanwhile, we can not trust it while we are in another room or trying to do something else. Like I said, it does great for a while, then it causes grief. I got rid of a perfect twenty year old washer that never let me down for this. Now I'm waiting on the repairman again
