I will never buy another LG washing machine again. Bad product design caused a MAJOR flood in my home. So disappointed. This same model # was on Good Morning America for the same issue. It flooded the homeowners house twice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The top load system leaks water on floor in front periodically. No appliance repair person has yet been able to remedy the problem. Very disturbing to say the least.
When a repair person comes the wash machine doesn't leak. Like a funny sound in your car that goes away when you go to the dealership!!

Does not clean clothes!

I've had this washer for over 3 years now. I've tried EVERY cycle, numerous detergents and laundry boosters, but this machine just does not clean the clothes properly! There is a dirty smell left under the detergent's fragrance. For example, I recently washed my coat because it smelled like campfie smoke, and after it was completely washed and dried, it still smelled like campfire smoke! I've never had this issue with any other washer and I've been doing laundry for 28 years!

How to Get the Best Results from a HE Top Load Washer: Always use a laundry detergent with the HE label. These products are formulated to create fewer suds which is important since so much less water is used. More is not better when there is less water in the mix. Most loads only require one to two teaspoons of HE liquid laundry detergent or one single-dose pack. If you do not use the automatic detergent dispensers, place the detergent in the bottom of the drum BEFORE you add your dirty clothes. All single dose laundry packs must be placed in the bottom of the washer - never the dispenser. This will give the detergent the longest amount of time in the water to help get your clothes clean. When you load a HE top load washer, do not pile the clothes in the center. Evenly distribute the dirty clothes around the edges of the wash plate. This will help balance the load more quickly and speed the wash cycle. For best performance, load clothes as shown in manual on page 14. Load clothes loosely, and do not load clothes over the maximum guideline on the tub. Clothes need room to circulate in order to get clean. Best Washing machine I ever owned
