I finally found a washing machine I love

First of all - this is a washing machine for big loads - if you do not have much washing , I do not know if this is the one for you.
I have only had this machine for 1 month, but it is so awesome - the ease, how quiet it is, the smell of fresh clothes, the spin cycle - getting all the water out, the reduced amount of loads that I have to do.
The first night - it made a sound that sounded like a bomb falling on my home and scared me to death! I almost called and have them take it away - but I tried it again and it has never done that since. I think it was the barrel leveling itself out for starters.
My previous washing was a top of the line side loader and I hated it -the constant mildew smell, the constant cleaning the barrel. yuk! the lack of Clean clothes.very poor spin cycle.
I love having fewer loads, cleaner and fresh smelling clothes and the peace and quiet.

I bought this washer b/c I have heavy-duty laundry needs and it handles all of them with ease.
I enjoy having a top-loader for easy loading and a very large tub. Some of my favorite features have to do with ensuring clothes are clean. I often use the Oxi-Sanitize cycle, with extra rinse. I especially appreciate that I can select a cycle and then modify the water temperature. Sometimes I need it to be hot and sometimes it needs to be downright cold, for instance if I'm dealing with blood stains.
I also take advantage of the tub clean cycle if the load was initially really dirty.
And yet I feel comfortable washing my washable sweaters in this machine. They come out beautifully, no shrinkage, wrinkling or pilling.
I highly recommend this washer for families. It's been well thought out to deliver on all their laundry needs.

Huge disappointment!!!! Leaves clothes dirty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer leaves my clothes and towels still dirty!!! Have to wash multiple times. Never adds enough water. I hit additional water usually three times and some times it's not enough. Wish I could return it and get another front load. Never had a cleaning problem with my front load made by Lg.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my machine for a little over a month and so far it has performed fine. I have not used all the setting as yet, but the ones I have used have been great. I was able to put a comforter in yesterday and it was wonderful. My daughter has already filled the machine full and it worked fine. I did not realize how big the tub is, I have a little trouble getting small items from the bottom. I am glad I chose this machine. I like to watch through the glass top as it is washing, it is amazing. I would recommend this product to my friends and family. I am planning on buying the matching dryer as soon as my current dryer quits.

Love everything about this LG washer!

I love how quiet it is, how well it cleans my clothes, how beautiful its overall appearance is with the stainless steel & dark gray contrast, and most of all its super large capacity tub! We can load so many clothes in it that it cuts our laundry time in half! We give this washer 5 stars!!!!

Loads of Features and Space!

This washer has been wonderful. I can finally wash my king sized comforter and mattress pad and get them clean! This washer holds so much in it that if I fill it up, I can't get it all folded!
I love all the features. I can Oxi-sanitize my husband's work clothes, or quick wash something I need quickly. I can add extra water for a load that need additional rinsing. I haven't even tried all the settings yet because there are so many to choose from. My husband lives in work clothes that get wet and sweaty and mildewy after 18+ hours in them. This is the first washer that gets those clothes really clean.
I've only had the washer for just over two months, but our clothes are clean, it is quiet and effective. The spin cycle is slightly louder than the rest, but not bad compared to what I was used to with our old machine.
This is energy and water efficient. It is attractive and seems like a quality product. We have not had a single issue with it, and use it all the time. We generally wash 4-6 loads a week.

This Washer Deserves A 10!

I'll tell you right now that this washer has brought clothes washing into the 21st century! I love this washer! Everything about it, from the design to the performance, beats the competition hands down. There really isn't any competition. That's how terrific I think this washer is. It makes doing laundry a fun experience!!!!!! The engineers who created this washer must have been women! Hats off to LG!

Good features on a quiet large capacity Washer

Bought two months ago and so far everything performs perfectly. My wife is not to sure if the water saving feature provides enough water to get the clothes clean. So instead of a 5 star , it gets a 4 Star.
