Big on Capacity, Small on Clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I must applaud the engineers who designed the logic into this washer as it senses the load size and adjusts water level accordingly.
This top load washer does not have a center "agitator" like washers of yore, so it has a much larger capacity. To clean the tub base as ridges and the water is cycled multiple times by cascading from the top. Unfortunately it does not clean as we as either a central "agitator" washer or a front load washer. We purchased the top load washer as opposed to a front load washer because we usually identify additional items to add once a wash cycle has started. I have used front load washers and they use ridges on the horizontally mounted tub to tumble the clothes and thereby get soap and water to pass through the clothes multiple times providing the cleaning action. The old central located agitator plunges and tumbles the clothes with the action of the ridges on the central plunger. This washer doe not tumble the clothes and they tend to stay in the same location over most of the wash, especially when low water level is used. We therefore use a second rinse and longer wash time to try to get the clothes clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the large capacity on this washer. Also, like the automatic load sensing so not wasting water. I wish it let you customize some more of the settings, for example, would like to be able to choose cold water and some settings do not allow. May be hard to reach in for some shorter people.

Great set for a good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new LG washer and dryer. They run so quietly, you forget they are even on until you hear the chimes go off informing you they are done. The washer had a load sensor so it does not over filling with water which saves on The water bill.The dryer has a moisture sensor, shuts off when dry. No wasted energy!
