We did not want the front load any longer due to mold and scum in the gasket area of front loads. Went back to a top load.
Bought the LG WT1701CV one month ago. It is cleaning the cloths with no problems.

The capacity is fantastic. It's huge! I went from a traditional washing machine with an agitator in the middle - it was noisy and not energy efficient. The LG washer is quiet, efficient, and has great functions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the worst washer I've ever owned. You have to wash everything twice to get it smelling even remotely clean. At 2+ hour cycles, count on 5 hours to wash a single load, and that's without drying. Shortly after buying the unit, the plastic panel started to peel away and it looks horrible. I cannot believe how people can rate this peice of garbage highly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
