This 2016 model is great so far. Before this one I had a 2015 model which gave us a lot of problems.

Enjoying this fridge

I purchased this fridge just before Thanksgiving of 2015. So far so good. I love inside lighting and spaciousness. Also enjoying the slate finish. I do wish the ice cubes and crushed ice dispenser on the door didn't throw it around so much, but this appears to be a problem with all brands.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this for a new house and love the slate color and lower freezer and doors above for refrigerator that enable large items to fit.

Initial problem

Had the refrigerator installed on November 10th. There controls on the deli drawer did not work upon delivery. It has taken 4 service calls for them to fix it but it now works. The problem is that even the service people do not have diagrams or instruction for the deli drawer and it takes calling GE for them to find out what to do to fix it. Other than that, the refrigerator is maintaining the proper temperatures (have thermometers in frigde & freezer) and has plenty of room. Lots of ice! Love the finish. I saw many comments on the noise made by the refrigerator however I do not find that to be an issue at all. Just a note that I bought GE to buy USA made and now I see that GE is selling the appliance division to a foreign company. That might affect my decision on recommendations.

Beautiful looking fridge, not the best quality. I am disappointed with the amount of money I spent for a leaky new fridge.

So far it's the best fridge I have ever owned and I've had quite a few. Well designed and user friendly. Great water pressure. Only negative is the water spout drips and has to be wiped down a few times to prevent hard water stains
