GE - GFE28HMHES - Slate finishing a winner.

Pros:
The slate feature is extremely nice. The fingerprints don't show. The finish also allows magnets to stick to the outside. Big plus for showing off pictures. Plenty of room. See through drawers make it easy to see inside. Freezer easy to see food items.
Cons:
Ice marker slow. Filtered water not able to get much water out of the system, before the water is lukewarm. The fan can be loud at times.

Slate Fridge

I bought this fridge 2 months ago and I just love it. I had a side by side and swore I would never buy those again-too small. This one has tons of shelf space. The ice maker is in the door but also has a receptacle inside the freezer to collect ice so you are never out of ice. I got the new slate color and love it and will replace other appliances with this color when the time comes to do that. You can use magnets and there are no fingerprints as well. The only negative are the side shelfs on the left which are so narrow they can only hold salad dressing or other thin bottles-this is on the same side as the freezer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lot's of Space

Love the size, the inside lighting and the collapsible shelf. Would like to see a faster lice maker and a butter keeper. It does seem to run a lot but it is quiet and not a bother. We got rid import that kept freezing up. GE seems to be a good choice.

We redid our kitchen and purchased this frig, it is super big inside and I LOVE it, the only thing I am a little disappointed in, it seems to make a lot of noise

Great size, but the in door ice dispenser gets blocked when the crushed ice feature is used. The interior ice compartment must be removed and bits of ice unlodged.

We really like this refrigerator. The only draw back is the smaller amount of storage space in the doors, but we know that's a trade off for having the ice and water in the door.

Love the second icemaker!

I bought this product a few months ago. Love the look and the adjustability of the shelves. My favorite part though is having the extra icemaker in the bottom drawer. If your model does not come standard with the icemaker i would highly recommend paying extra to have the second one installed. Runs very quite and really like the shelf that can fold back for taller items. Great purchase so far. My only wish is the butter tray in the door it is an extra option.
