Upset with service and parts dept.

I bot this frig 5 years ago... I have loved it. The color was just what I wanted but have had a couple of issues in the past with the filters leaking and the ice machine not working. with it. Now the compressor has completely gone out in July 2020 it's Oct 2020 it's been 3 months and I still don't have the part I call to check on it and told systems are down for the last 3 times I have called. So I guess at the point I should just buy a new one and I am sure I'll never get the same color to match my other appliances. The GE service is not good. Don't buy this model.

The linear compressor failed at 3 years and whole fridge dead at 5 years. After struggling to find replacement parts, find out need to replace. Will not be GE.

This fridge was installed and had been used 6 years....now the temperature swings are crazy...just randomly bounces between 32 to 60 degrees. Disappointed.

Not cooling - only 4 years old

The meat drawer freezes solid. The back wall of fridge iced up. Any shelf higher than meat drawer is 55 degrees. Defrost heater is probably to blame, but it is the loudest fridge I have ever owned so I’m going back to a whirlpool.

We know those issues, and any concerns over sound, may be frustrating to deal with. This isn’t the great ownership experience we want for you, and we’d like to assist.

If you are referring to freezing in the Temperature Controlled Drawer, those settings can be adjusted to be warmer. Keeping a reasonable food load in the drawer, and the overall refrigerator, can also help maintain an even temperature. There is information regarding the Temperature Controlled Drawer in the manual on page 16: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60716-5.pdf&_ga=2.196885096.537145943.1644244100-1532666414.1643037112 . For ice or frost building up in other areas of the refrigerator, you may want to make sure there are no issues with the door gasket preventing a proper seal – the doors being left open or opened too frequently can result in ice/frost build-up. Making sure the refrigerator is level and the doors align so they can close properly can also help.

For the trouble you’ve had with the rest of your refrigerator not getting cool enough, in addition to the tips above, you might want to make sure the condenser is clean and no large items are blocking the air flow along the back wall. Looks nice - when it works it is good

I got my fridge in May of 2018. I have already had to replace a fan on it which apparently, after looking at reviews, many other people have as well. Sometimes the food will freeze in the fridge. Sometimes it feels too warm. Crushed ice maker shoots ice all over the floor which is good if you like ice on your floor. It is loud as well. Also had the water line break that came with the fridge and ruined my kitchen floor. This is my last GE appliance. I have an old Frigidaire refrigerator in my basement that is older and still runs way better than this GE ever has.

great color

Don't like the drawer layout or door layout. I lost a lot of space with the french doors.
The bottom large drawer cannot be opened unless both doors are opened. This drawer should be in two. Easy to clean color, shows all fingerprints on handles however, easy to wipe clean. Love the large water server.

I received my new refrigerator just a few days ago and it is even more beautiful in my kitchen than it was in the store. Not only does it have a great look, it has great features and works very well. Another great GE appliance to add to my collection!

Did not like the choices of SS, Black or White. Slate was acceptable. Water dispenser drips excessively. Need a slotted tray instead of smooth. Why no dairy bin?
