Overall a great fridge

My wife and I decided on this fridge to fit into a somewhat awkward space and it fits beautifully. We love everything about this fridge, except one very minor thing. The image on the crisper drawer is supposed to have a down arrow for fruit and an up arrow for vegetables. Ours for whatever reason has two down arrows.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings

LG 23.8 cu.Refrigerator with Bottom Freezer

I've had my new frig for one month. The bottom freezer is really handy and easy to use..no more bumps on the head (lol). There was a loud noise issue about 10 hours after the frig was installed but that turned out to be a matter of turning off the ice maker. You can't make ice without water and I opted to not have a waterline installed. There is a slight noise when the product is running, but I believe that to be normal operation noise. Not as quiet as the 24 yr. old frig I replaced, but overall it's a great product. A little disappointed that the door finishes do not match the textured finish on the sides.

Liking the large freezer space

Having had a bottom freezer before, I was looking for another one. After reading the product information on a number of refrigerators, we were looking for a well made and reliable product (my last one died after only 4 years). Both the top and bottom are spacious and with adjustable shelf heights, can fit even large items, such as the gallon ice tea jar.

I love the one door opening and bottom freezer. I had a side-by-side and found the freezer difficult to store items. Having a full range of shelving on the top, plus only opening one door makes it very easy to put away and retrieve items.
Would have liked more options with shelving positioning.

I was looking to replace my old fridge, it was 15 years old and costing more and more each day, as it had outlived its efficiency. I researched many products and kept coming back to the LG line, as they had the highest rating and most consumers would buy this item again and again. I am very pleased with purchase, so quiet, keeps items cool, and freezer items frozen. Ice cubes arent frozen together. Love the platter pull out area, many uses for this, and the LED lights, great feature. No more bending over to see what I need to get, bottom freezer, love it. So much space inside, both top and bottom. This product lived up to my expectations and more of an efficient appliance.

great size for smaller opening

The fridge works great, and it is fairly large given our smaller opening. Our food no longer gets lost inside. The fridge is bright and the food is easy to see and is easily accessible. I only have two minor concerns about the fridge. First, the middle shelf, which runs the width of the fridge (resulting in more space than two separate shelves!) doesn't have a center support. So far that doesn't seem to be a problem, but I worry about it warping in the long run. Second, the fridge operates with a slight electronic hum. It is MUCH quieter than our prior fridge, which made more of a mechanical noise when cooling. But the electronic hum grates on me a bit at times. Still,this wouldn't affect my decision to purchase it again. We looked at a lot of fridges and this was definitely a great choice.
