Good refrigerator with a few irritating drawbacks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were happy to be able to get good, large capacity refrigerator on short notice. However we found it to have a few drawbacks.
1. The lower refrigerator shelf does not have separate, adjustable halves.
2. The current temperature should be displayed, rather than the setting.
3. The sliding shelf in the freezer will not stay out.
4. The sliding shelf in the freezer sometimes get stuck when trying to close the freezer drawer.
5. The ice bin is too large. We would prefer to have more space for other things in the freezer.

Great refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Lg refrigerator because I had to leave my first one in my condo when I sold. The new home did not have this refrig with the bottom freezer. It is a beautiful appliance and has all the features that I like.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Never have I bought a refrigerator that broke down sooo fast. Compressor failed so it was cheaper to buy a G.E. side by side than fixing this lg fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Missing temperature readout..dumb!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed this refrigerator so I do not yet have much to go on. But one thing is missing. When you open the door there is a "Control Pad" that allows you to set the desired temperature for the refrigerator. This is fine and convenient (although I am not sure why I would change it from 37 degrees for refrig and 0 for the freezer.). But missing is a readout of the actual temperature. So how can someone know whether or not the freezer is at the required temperature..or the refrig? I cannot help but think that some marketing guru decided that they should save this "very valuable feature" for a higher priced model. Do I now have to go out and buy a freezer and refrig thermometer? The information is all there in the computer. The digital readout would cost a few penny to add if that. Poor going LG.

Good Features.

I am enjoying this refrigerator but there is a few things I wish I would have thought about. The brushed stainless steel shows all prints, and there is not a lot of room on the door for gallon milk jugs. You also have to open both doors to access the meat,cheese tray. All in All I really enjoy the ice makers and water thru the door.

Our new LG Refrigerator

After investigation we chose the LG Model LDC24370SW Refrigerator. The wife wanted a unit with the refrigerator up and freezer down. This Frig also fit the bill because we had space considerations.
We had some difficulty getting the Frig after purchase due to weather and the store did not have the Frig in stock although they said they did at purchase.
Further difficulty occurred at delivery, the delivery company had a terrible time moving the Frig from their truck to the Kitchen and damaged the Frig. The seller has worked with us to get the damage resolved.
We did not foresee the water filter taking so much room and the Frig sits a little further out in the room than we wanted.
Overall we are glad we bought this LG Refrigerator.
We are presently waiting for our new door to arrive which will fix the last damage.
