Easy to Use and Works Very Well

The mic look great and the controls are easy to use. The feature that prevents turntable spin could dome in handy too. One feature that is different that is not as good is the switch for the light/night light. Formerly there was a distinct button to push and now it is part of the touch pad. It is not easy to find the light switch in the dark whereas I could feel for it previously. The clock is so bright it literally acts as a night light. Overall I really like it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced a 15 year old GE microwave with this product. Identical fit above my GE range. Has the right amount of features and I am satisfied with its performance. I can only hope to get 15 years out of this appliance!

Over the stove Microwave

This Model was a part of an upgraded appliance package that I chose for my newly built home.
I use the microwave mostly for reheating. This model has all the features I use daily. The venting for the stove does not always shut off immediately, causing some concern as to why. The timer alarm is not loud, so sometimes I do not hear it go off.

We're so glad to hear that you are getting a lot of use from your microwave. We do understand how concerning it is when the vent does not shut off immediately. Here is a brief explanation of how the vent fans work.
Over-the-range microwaves have an automatic fan feature to help protect the electronic components, and also helps the cooking area get rid of excess heat. The built-in thermostat automatically turns the vent fan on if the unit is too hot, and will not turn off until the microwave is cool again. You will not be able to turn the vent fan off manually during this time.
"Too hot" means the temperature around the control panel is above 150 degrees F.
The fan will shut off when the control surface is less than 150 degrees F.

Less power than expected

We replaced an older over the range microwave with this one. The GE seems louder and has less power. I don't recommend the 1000 Watt version.

I'm sorry to say I'm disappointed. The door sounds and feels cheap compared to my old kenmore. The fan is noisy and it is noisy when running.
