A Great Microwave

The microwave does a very good job. It has a sensor which I believe is a must to have in any microwave. The height is a little less than all other microwaves in its class. This gives me a little more room between the stove top and the microwave. A good thing.

Very loud

Have had the microwave for 2 weeks. So far the microwave works as expected except when in use, it is very loud. Reading other reviews, some say it's really quiet, others say it's really loud. Makes me think there could be a problem. On the top of the microwave, closest to the door, there is a fairly large open area. Just wondering if that's by design or if it's missing a piece. The microwave is vented outside. I have a neighbor who has a GE microwave purchased a year ago, very similar model and it is really quiet. Her microwave is installed in the very same place as mine since our kitchens are identical. Can someone from GE respond to let me know if there is a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Microwave looks great

Installed in 75 minutes with 2 of us including mounting bracket and drilling new holes for screws. Our original GE was purchased in 1999. Have high hopes for the new one!

This microwave replaced a 17 year old microwave. A dislike on this one is the turntable being up higher and not flush with bottom of microwave; which gives less space for taller dishes. Another dislike is the timer function. It continually beeps until you turn it off and I don't mean a beep every several seconds, it's beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
