Hard buttons

The buttons are extremely hard to push, especially compared to my previous one which was also a GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great right off the bat

My new microwave was just installed today and I haven’t even used it yet but there is something I love about it already. It’s a small thing to some, but important to me now that I see the difference. It’s the surface light underneath! It gives off a beautiful warm and golden light onto the stove below. My prior over-the-range microwave was from the Frigidaire Gallery collection and the light was like having an old flourescent light in the kitchen - cold and way too white. I’m so happy with just this little thing so far!
I would recommend this to a friend!

a few years ago i bought all ge appliances for my kitchen. i like them (the brand and styles),so when my microwave quite working we bought a new ge. i did my homework looking on line and at different stores. after all of that i bought the jvm6175yk5fs. its only been in for 3 days. i have a small set of cabnets it mounts to over the stove. when i got it installed i looked along the top and seen the large openings along the top front i thought there would be a piece to fit in over the openings. to my surprise there is not. my concern is that taking something small out of the cabnets above and loosing your grip could fall down through those openings. all the views on line and or in the stores never showed this view. they either had them mounted up too high to see or did not display a model. this is quite concerning to me because we are older now and are more likely or prone to having something slip out of our hand. don't really know if there is a fix.otherwise it has only been in use since the 3rd of this month. will give a different rating at a later time. thanks for listening!

Looks great, Works better. 30 second one touch with BONUS 1 to 5 minute one touch. Cleans easy inside and out. Matches GE range I purchased with it.
