Faster but some fetures gone.

Unit is faster than old GE, but door not as sturdy feeling. Is lighter in weight, but only 2 lower hold points vs. 4, & 2 bolts above vs. 3.
In all a very good replacement.

It works well and I like the display lighting as my previous microwave had blue lights that were very difficult to see.

We purchased this particular microwave as we had previously selected a GE fridge and induction top range which are all on the same wall, so we wanted the finishes to be consistent. The stainless finish is slightly brushed and cleans easily. The interior size is more than adequate.
We just used the reheat setting for soup this week and it turned out perfectly, no cold spots and heated to the perfect temperature. I'm looking forward to using the melt feature as well. So far I'm pleased with the smart/auto functions which were not as helpful in our previous microwave.
The only thing I would change is that the halogen light fixture for the surface of the range gets even the interior of the microwave quite warm. It looks like it can be replaced with an LED bulb, but reading that the lower light level doesn't work as well. Perhaps a newer model of this microwave will have an LED surface light.

All Good Except For.......

This new one is the same model as the old one we replaced. We like everything about it except for the fact that the new one's exhaust fan makes twice the amount of noise over the old one. Ugh.
