The appliance works but is extremely loud and and the buzzing noise is very annoying.

Direct fit replacement for GE Microwave LVM1750DM1

I'm very pleased to install another quality GE product. The contemporary switch panel, touch sensitive, is easy to use. Mostly identical switch function layout to the previous unit makes it a breeze to navigate. The original microwave served very well for many years, I expect to enjoy the same reliability with this new model.

Have only had the microwave about 3 weeks. Performs great so far. Install would have been easier if it could have fit the existing frame work and the same holes in the cabinet above.

new ge vs old ge

My old GE microwave had better construction than this new one. It seems very cheap, and the operating panel doesn't light up like the old one, also it's very loud, thought it had a defect since it's is so loud. What happened GE?

The speed for your vent fan can be adjusted to run slower and, therefore, reducing the sound levels coming from it. You can press the "Vent Fan" button 3 times to turn it down to medium fan speed, or 4 times to turn it down to a slow speed. The worse microwave we have ever had.....

we are on our 2nd GE microwave in 1 1/2 years...first one quit working 14 months after we got it the 2 nd one has quit working 3 months after..there will be no more GE appliances both by us which is sad because that is all we own..
