Excellent GE microwave. Very quiet and cooks food very quickly. Easy to clean and has many options to cook a variety of things. Awesome Microwave, would buy again and refer to family and friends!

Two repairs in first two months

On the whole, I like this microwave, but it's had problems already and I sure don't love it. From day one, the protective film on the back of the door wasn't properly attached and kept pulling off. It's under warranty, and the repair required a whole new door. When the repair guy came, I asked him why the microwave makes more noise on startup than any I've ever heard. He said that noise indicates that the mag tube and diode are going bad. On a brand new microwave! So now those parts are on order, also under warranty. I'm glad they're under warranty, but I don't expect this much trouble with a new unit. One other complaint that I'll have to live with: the clock light in the window is annoyingly bright. It lights up the whole kitchen, and I can see it from my bedroom. The only choices are ridiculously bright or off, no low light option. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked Great, Until It Didnt - Failed at 16 Month

When working, was happy with the microwave. But now, 16 months after purchase and installation it stopped heating. Paying for a repair which isn't all that much less than buying a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Happy with this microwave oven. Right size, convenient shortcut buttons for setting time to cook. Overall just a good microwave. (I hope, we’ve only had it a month.)
