This is the 3rd GE Microwave same place 17 years

Everyone I know has microwaves that have lasted 10, 15 or even 20 years. This is the 3rd GE microwave in the same place in the last 17 years. Not a great record.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect replacement for an old Microwave

This GE Microwave was the perfect above range replacement for an older GE unit. Clear and concise installation instructions. Installation was simple and the unit worked perfectly without any glitches.

Same model lasted 8 years, new one looks different

I bought the same model that was already installed since it lasted 8 years and matched the rest of our appliances. Old one still worked, but the fan came on when you opened door for some reason. But it was good and easy to use. Was a little disappointed that the new one, same exact model, looks different. Lights are white instead of green, the mounting plate is different, the mounting holes above are different; and the handle is a different shape, more square instead of rounded. It looks really nice, it just doesn't match the rest of the appliances anymore...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quick & Efficient!

Our above stove/range microwave died out on us right before Sunday dinner! The non-GE appliance was only 4 yrs old and it couldn't be revived even with a new replacement fuse...next day, the hubby purchased a new GE microwave and we were all surprised with how it was quick and efficient...and surprisingly much quieter than the former unit we had of the same size! The entire Ohana (family) is happy again especially our teenage daughter who's main concern was having popcorn again!

great microwave

I got this model because of my ability to see the lettering. I have only had it a couple weeks, all I do is reheat coffee and microwave meals but it is great so far. no complaints
