Dead as a door nail!

Yesterday I wrote a rating on how disappointed I was that my over the stove microwave JVM6175YKFS died. We bought all our appliance for our seasonal Florida home in January of 2021. Took a long time to get all of them due to Covid supply chain issues but by March. Today my husband went to dealership to discuss and they said that based on how it just went dark and has power going to it….its probably the circuit board. He said it’s not worth fixing and to buy a new one. Especially since we didn’t buy the insurance. Valuable lesson….since Ge is no longer making appliances that last. This isn’t the first microwave we had issues with. Last year our Cafe model microwave in our New York home stopped working…however lights still worked. We did have a the ge repair person look at because we were told by the dealership up north that it would be cheaper to repair it that buy a new cafe model. This we did. I am so infuriated that in actual time used was approximately 6 1/2 months since we are in florida only 4 months. Very disappointed!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to install

New microwave was easy to install and works great, however it does not have the same quality as the original one I bought five years ago.

A little sleeker than replaced Microwave. Keypad seems a little less responsive but may need to get used to that. Indicated as the right replacement for my last GE microwave but actually a bit smaller interior and lower wattage. Overall satisfied.

All metal or glass no plastic to crack.

My last microwave quit working because the plastic door handle and door cracked. This is all metal or glass, no plastic to crack. Nice clean lines. Looks really sharp. Easy to clean and works well.

Love our new microwave. Not sure how it knows how long to cook potatoes but it does. Just hit potato button and it knows how long for how many you have.
