would never recommend this microwave. It is cheaply made. Sounds like a tin can when you close the door. So small on the inside you can’t even have an 8x8 glass dish rotate. So few choices for cooking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not that great of a microwave

Very loud! We did a ductless install and there does not appear to be a place for the unit to vent

We're really sorry about the noise level you are experiencing, while it can be normal for noises to happen that shouldn't be loud enough to cause distress or discomfort. Since you have it setup for ductless ventilation, it actually recirculates the air through a charcoal filter. If you are noticing the fan speed seem to be unstable, we recommend getting one of our technicians to check everything. We're confident that they can get it repaired. This is the 3rd over range GE microwave we have had with the last one lasting exactly 11 years to within one day before needing to be replaced. Very pleased with features and value for price. Was able to use same install bracket to hang unit and new install took all of 20 min to remove old and install new.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love our new over the range microwave. It works well as expected. One feature I really like is that it will automatically vent if the stove area is being used to keep the microwave lower area from over-heating. I can't verify this but was told that GE is made in the USA so that parts were readily available if there was a problem. (This was when ships were sitting in the ocean unable to go to port due to covid and we were running short of imported supplies) The only thing I don't like is that it is kind of loud when in use. Otherwise it is a great appliance.

It simply works well. It took some time to sort out all the commands as the lettering and fonts are all the same. It's a nitpick, but some of the speed feature would be better bolded or differentiated text/font.
I would recommend this to a friend!
