Bad handle

The handle broke off while opening. Either the handle is cheaply made or the tension on the the door is too strong! The 2nd microwave in which the handle has broken off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to install and great features

The full size templates made installation a breeze, of course I didn’t fully read instructions and had to take it down again so I could direct the blower fans in the correct direction for my venting purposes, it was still super easy to do! Love the look and the features on this microwave. Thumbs up!!!

Great when it works

We have had our microwave for about a month now. Even after only a couple of days it would shut off in the middle of cooking and not come back on until 30-45 minutes later. This has happened at least 6 or more times, some of those even when not cooking. We have turned the breaker off for several minutes and then back on and it still does not restart until at least a half hour or more later. We will be contacting GE again for evaluation and repair. I initially did that but had not turned the breaker off and back on so I cancelled a repair visit but will be rescheduling that. Hopefully it is repairable. I do not recommend this unit yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've had this microwave for about a month and it has been working great. My husband and I were able to install it ourselves quite easily and figuring out how to vent it to the outside was easy too. I like that the beep sounds can be turned to a low volume or even muted (our last microwave was really loud). It's easy to operate and has all the features we need.
