Great Microwave

There are a lot of microwaves out there. We chose this one to match with the GE gas range we purchased. It's got all the features you'd expect and is of good quality. Only thing to be aware of is the motor orientation (for venting) before installing as it seems to come pre-set for outside venting, not recirculating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The microwave features are great! There are multiple cooking options. The microwave is easy to use.
I am not necessary impressed with the materials. Although it is suppose to be stainless steel. At best the material is more like a plastic material with a stainless steel look.

Install took longer than expected.

The finish is great- finger print resisting stainless steel. Looks wonderful. The idea was to have a drop in replace for 20 year old GE Spacemaker 1800XL. The new model does not drop into the same mounting hardware, so a simple drop in replace was not possible. The instructions and templates support differing cabinet styles and 3 different vent options, so the instructions are too complex and unclear in details, causing hours of delay removing the old mounting hardware, figuring out what goes where for my cabinets and vent options. I abandoned the templates and just used the dimensions from the template- which made more sense. The holes ended up in the right places and the rest of the install we easily completed. I will also note that the new microwave is slightly smaller inside, as indicated by the smaller diameter glass turntable size when compared to the old model. Also, I think the new model is lighter so it was fairly easy for a single person to lift the oven into place. The old model was more massive and was a struggle to install and remove. It will be a few months until all our remodel projects are done and at that time we will start to use the new GE microwave. I did heat a cup of water in a mug, and that worked fine. Noise level seems OK. I can't wait to make my first bag of popcorn to enjoy!

The product works great. Is easy to use, and was a great value. It's a little louder than my previous GE combination microwave/convection oven, but am getting used to it. Doesn't feel as heavy duty either, but it works just fine.

Push- hard!

The numbers are very hard to push, and if the room is a little darker like early morning almost impossible to read. And if to light a glare make them hard to see too
