I got this for a Christmas present and replaced the one that I had. I really like the slate color and it washed up real nice. I especially like how it comes apart to clean (where the charcoal filter goes) My other was real dirty and could not take apart to clean. Only thing different is the power is 1,000 and my old one was 1,200 watts. Just takes a little longer to do what my old did.

We had to replace our fridge, and we liked the slate finish on the GE appliances, so we replaced everything. This microwave heats things up pretty quick! Spacious also with two levels.

My first over-the-range microwave

I purchased this to compliment the rest of my GE Slate suite. Before now, I've never owned an over-the-range microwave but I'll never go back! This frees up so much counter space and the Slate finish resists smudges and fingerprints so it always looks great (even after a day of heavy use). The included rack enables me to warm up several items at once, like two plates of leftovers. I also like the volume controls and the auto night light option.
