Sleek and great looking.

We like the look of this microwave. It's sleek and fits perfectly in the space of our old one being replaced. It's pretty new so not sure about the workmanship but we've had GE appliances before and they've always been reliable.

Do not buy this microwave

DO NOT buy this microwave, it is so load. The fan runs all whenever the microwave starts. I have had this microwave for 5 days and I regret buying every time we use it. Why, why why would the fan run

Excellent functionality/attractive design!

We are very happy with the functionality and design of our new GE microwave 1.7. I have no complaints except for one odd item. The plastic covering of the 'keyboard' on the exterior of the microwave is very thin and easy to tear/puncture. The other person who uses the microwave in our house punches the selections with her fingernail instead of her finger (the same as she always did with our former 17 year old GE microwave). It took us a while on our new microwave to determine that's what had caused small tears in the plastic covering over the selections!
I would recommend this to a friend!
