Light gets HOT !!!!!!!!

I replaced another GE Microwave with this one because I loved it! However....on this new model, the surface light on the bottom gets EVERYTHING soooooooo hot, I burnt my hand underneath, It wasn't on for an extended period of time either. Not too happy with the new model
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like many of the features. I wish it had a recessed turn table. Be sure your cabinet doors are at least 1 inch above where the microwave is going. There is a piece that sticks up that can prevent your doors from opening.

My only complaint is the clock light - too bright

Just got this installed yesterday. My one and only complaint as of right now is that the clock light is way too bright - it lights up the whole kitchen at night. All my other appliances (GE) as in glass-top oven right below the microwave are all bright enough to see/read BUT aren't lighting up the whole kitchen at night. The clock needs to have an option to make "dimmer" (NOT "off").

This microwave looks great and has all the bells and whistles! It was time to up grade kitchen appliances and the stove and microwave look and perform very very nicely.
