Replacement of 9 year old Kenmore

Today is the initial day of install haven't used it yet had to replace a 9 year old over-the-range Kenmore microwave. Checked all the features to make sure that they are properly working and they are. Most importantly it fits perfectly over my range and is aesthetically pleasing in my kitchen. I purchased this microwave as an open box in good condition and I am pleasantly pleased with the price and the quality.

Although it seems to do a god job overall (for the cycles that I used), two things stand out;
- It's very noisy!
- The "Re-heat Dinner" brings the food to an extremely high heat ( Actually, every microwave I've ever used has the same problem.)

Nice microwave, expensive filler pieces

This replaced a similar GE over the range microwave that was 11 years old. After a month of use no complaints except the front panel keypad buttons seem a little smaller and harder to press than the previous microwave. It looks nice above our range but boy those filler pieces were expensive. We purchased the microwave on sale and the filler pieces were nearly as expensive as the microwave. Hopefully this microwave will last at least as long as the previous one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great microwave

We are very pleased with our microwave. When we make bacon, there are no hot spots and the bacon gets golden brown all over. We also like the feature that it beeps when your food is done and it doesn’t keep going off all the time and driving you crazy. There is just one slight beep if you don’t take the food out after the long beeps. It’s great. I would recommend this microwave to everyone.

Good with venting

Wall mounted + vented through our roof over the stove. We have a small kitchen so this is a great space saver!
