Microwave Installation

Two gentlmen did an outstanding job installing our new Microwave Oven. The called and arrived within 20 minutes of the call and had the installation complete within 30 minutes. They set up the power level and clock and explained some helpful advice. They also shown me how to register the unit.

We replaced a 10 year old GE slate microwave with this product that was as close to the original as possible. But we have found that this new microwave does not appear to be as well built as the old one. I hope it lasts 10 years but I am guessing not.

We appreciate your loyalty to our brand and purchasing a new GE microwave. We hope you have your new microwave for just as long as your previous model. If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension and this is normal.

Replaced an older model - looks good, works well. GE changing the mounting holes didn't help. Could've kept it the same for easier install.

Replaced Earlier Model

Replaced earlier model of same microwave. Disappointed that the time numbers are white now instead of green, so it doesn't match our range. Also, the glass turntable inside is larger this time with a turned up edge - seems too large. Oddly, the holes needed in our upper cabinet were also different which ended up working ok for us. Cooking and features are otherwise what we expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!
