This is our 2nd GE Microwave in 3 years. The first one failed so we bought the same one for easier installation (if you've installed one of these machines, you know what I'm talking about). When it works, it works well, just not for very long. Our Magic Chef microwave lasted 25 years. When other countries do our manufacturing for us, it's always sub par!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good microwave

It is a beautiful appliance that looks great in my kitchen. I love the curved edges.
We have not used all the features yet, but so far the time cook, melt, beverage, reheat and popcorn features work great.
The vent fan is powerful but very noisy. Our townhouse was not built with an exhaust vent in the kitchen but the oven's the recirculation with the filters works quite well. I would rate at 5 but the noise level is significant, so I give it a 4.5.

Love my microwave and it does an amazing job. Installation was smooth and it looks great. Popped some corn after installation and it was the best I've ever had. Excellent product and I highly recommend it if you need a microwave.
