Easy to install and matches our GE range beautifully. Control panel is easy to use. Nice to get the Microwave off the counter to free up space!

Can’t stand the heat sensor fan

We bought this microwave 4 mo ago when we had to replace our gas range quickly. Decided to get both units at the same time. Sadly, we relied on the appliance store owner to recommend this microwave to go with our stove. My error for not doing research first.
The microwave heats as expected and the unit looks nice. However, there are 2 features that are truly disappointing. First, the keypad is hard to use - buttons take much more pressure than my previous microwave (that lasted 20 years). I often have to press the buttons more than once to get it to register. Second, I HATE the automatic heat sensor fan. It is so loud that it drowns out all other sounds in the kitchen. I can’t believe one medium saucepan of boiling water on the back burner is so hot it makes the fan turn on. (That happened tonight.) And there is no way to turn it off manually or to disable it completely. Considering my old microwave operated for 20 years without this heat-sensing fan, I can’t see the need. I would not buy this microwave again, or one with that sensor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not durable

Stopped heating after 5 years, whereas we have other microwaves that have lasted 10-20 years. For an over the range applicance, it is not well designed to resist entry of oil and grease (and presumably moisture) into its innards, which are coated with oil, even though we had it set up with venting to outside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does the job but build quality and overall robustness is way down over our recent 20year old model. Same size unit with smaller internal capacity.

Really like this microwave. Previously had a built in and it sounded like a jet plane. This new one is really quiet. Love the mute function, makes it really nice for when I'm sleeping during the day.

My new microwave is totally awesome! I really like the improvements they have made since I last bought one. I especially like the way the numbers are located. Another great feature are the large numbers. A great value for the money!
