Happy with this microwave

Ordered this microwave to replace a 14 yr old Hotpoint microwave that had stopped working. Totally happy with the new machine. Especially impressed with the quality of the vent fan. It seems to be more heavy duty than our prior machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cheapest GE appliance it’s already malfunctioning

Cheap in every respect compared to the same model we bought 9 years ago. And this one is already malfunctioning. It can’t microwave anything more than two minutes without shutting down all power, waiting 30 minutes for it to reset, clock set, and continue microwaving at 2 minute intervals to finish cooking anything that needed more than 2 minutes. It is louder. The GE emblem is cheap and the handle is not nice and rounded, it’s sharp edged.
I wish we would have paid to fix the old one and not bought this subpar replacement that now can’t even be looked at by a 3rd party GE service for 2.5 weeks with no guarantee it can be fixed.

Nice middle range microwave.

All the features you need for a microwave. We have owned for 3 years and not one problem. Exhaust fan moves enough air for anything the stove puts out.

This unit has some great features like the 30 second button that allows you to add an additional 30 seconds to your current heat time with the touch of a button. Another great feature is the ability to turn your turntable on or off. This will allow you to turn off the turntable allowing the you to heat up those large casserole dishes. Not as good as the old one

Had the 2000 model of this microwave for 24 years, not a single issue.
Purchased what I thought was the same model. Was delivered and installed and looked and worked great.
Three weeks after it was installed it stated making noises and I realized it was the plastic turntable (which is very flimsy) was making the noise. The wheels were pitted from the heat from the light, which come to find out had a 50 Watt Halogen bulb.
Repair ordered a new turntable and lower watt bulb which should alleviate the issue, however it was very disappointing for this to happen to a brand new appliance.
Also disappointed to find the "nightlight" feature which was on the old model was not on this one.
