microwave defective

microwave was defective; microwave shut down (no power, light nothing) after about 10 minutes of operation. Within 10-14 minutes microwave got power/ I had 3 different appointments. first appointment, no record; second appointment showed up on the day they said i had no appointment, 3rd was canceled, finally got a new microwave.

I love it I like you can turn off rotation of glass and cook a casserole// easy to use and I like the size // mounted above stove and exhausted to the roof

Better than our former top rated unit.

We replaced Bosch unit which died much sooner than you'd expect from a highly rated product brand. When we shopped for a replacement we found the GE unit to be near half the cost of the Bosch. We've found the GE unit to be comparable if not superior in features to our old Bosch unit. Very glad we chose GE.

No instruction manual

The microwave came with all kinds of paperwork, except for the one thing I wanted: the owner's manual. GE claims there was no owner's manual because they were supposedly concerned about the environment. So, why did they include all the other papers that were immediately thrown away?

Loud LOUD

Vent fan runs any time microwave is in use. Very loud whenever cooking or reheating. Too late to uninstall and obviously there are no models to try in the store so it was an unwelcome surprise.

A fan noise when your unit is running is normal; the fan is in place to keep the interior electronics cool during operation, and you can learn more in the article below.
