Forced to replace with the same microwave.

We bought an appliance package including this microwave less than 4 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it. It was repaired once and although working again the sensor buttons stopped working one by one ever since. The numbers on the display started disappearing so we were forced to replace it with the same microwave so it would match the rest of our appliances. Not happy about that at all. Hopefully this one will last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

perfect replacement

This is a great microwave--not too basic, but not too over complicated--it does the job. Had to replaced our old GE microwave--this one, was exactly the same size and very similar features, so didn't need to really figure things out.

Cheaply made - upgrade to another model

It’s basic but very cheaply made. I only purchased to replace the same microwave thinking the install would be easier. It wasn’t it had a different bracket. I wouldn’t have bought it. Upgrade people. Very cheap but what do you expect for the price.

When purchasing a new microwave, even if it's the same model as your previous unit, it is required to also purchase a new mounting bracket for proper installation. Good product but installation difficult

I had an identical GE microwave that just stopped working. The replacement installation was interesting. GE changed the location of the top mounting screws that were closer to the front of the microwave and they were not evenly spaced. I had to drill through part of the cabinet moulding to secure the top of the microwave. The mounting bolts were not long enough on the right side. I had to use one of the bolts from the old microwave to have enough threads to hold the new microwave securely. The new mounting bracket was very cheap compared to the old one. I bought this same microwave as the old one because I liked the sensor cooking features. It also cooked very evenly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Magnetron is gone

Product is not working just after 2.5 years. Both light and heat is not working. Fuse and switches seems to be fine but Magnetron is gone with just 2.5 years of usage. Don’t recommend.

I've been microwaving sweet potatoes by hitting the potato button. They come out perfectly every time. I also like the "turntable off" feature, which I need at times.

Our All-GE Kitchen!

We are remodeling our kitchen and have brand new GE appliances throughout! We have always had GE stoves and dishwashers and know how reliable and long-lasting they are—the ones we just removed were 35 and 24 years old, respectively, and still working well! We are glad to add the new fridge and microwave—they look beautiful, and we anticipate many years of reliable use.
