Wish it lasted longer

This is my second purchase of the same exact microwave because the 1st one stopped working in less than 4 years. Since I installed myself I didn’t want to go thru the hassle of changing brackets etc so I just purchased the same one in hopes it lasts longer. Cheaper to buy a new one than to have other repaired.
When it works it does as it should. Has lots of fancy features we rarely use.

Good but the stainless steel may be defective

The microwave works just fine. We don't really use it too much. 2 things I don't love... 1) there seems to be some weird streaking that appeared on the upper left part of the door. I tried wiping it with stainless steel cleaner and it seems to go away but the the next day, it was back again. 2) I don't love that the color of the digital display is a different color than the digital dispaly on my GE stove but it's that's just a minor annoyance.

We are happy to hear that your microwave is operating as designed. For the daily maintenance of your stainless steel, we recommend using a solution of mild soap (dish soap) and water. For heavy soils, use a paste of baking soda and water while rubbing with a soft cloth. Vents & Lights are where they should be!

Replaced our 19yr old GE over-the-stovetop Microwave with this M# JVM6175SK6SS. Installed nicely in the same space. Love the Ventilation! The underneath vent positions are on the Left side & Right side (properly over the burner positions), as opposed to the older model with just one in the Center, which served no purpose. Pleased with the capacity. Controls & display are easy to read. Lighting accommodates the cooking surface nicely & the LED Clock display is bright. Hope this one lasts 19yrs too!

Great looking and works well

We really like our new GE Over the Range Microwave: MODEL # JVM617SK6SS
It matches our other appliances perfectly and we are pleased with its operation. It heats and reheats food and liquids well. I like how quiet the exhaust fan is, compared to our old one. I also like the fact it has a charcoal filter that may be replaced.

It was fairly easy to install, but I did use a YouTube video to make it easier. It is a two person job too.

Easy to Install and Use, GE Replacement

My GE microwave, (jvm6175sk3ss) which was in home when purchased, died. This microwave was the new model replacement. I found it easy to install, but I do wish they had the same top mounting screw locations, but drilling new ones was no problem. Switching exhaust fans was easy following the directions provided. Once installed, it is very similar as my previous one. Runs quiet and easy to use controls makes to use. Very happy with this microwave purchase.
