Great replacement for a 23-year old GE Advantium

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old GE Profile MW stopped rotating so while looking for a replacement, found this model.
It was easy to install (heavier than it looks-you need 2 people for installation) and works great. A bit of an adjustment to a new control panel but overall smooth transition. The night light is easy to use and was already set up for forward exhaust. We use tall coffee cups and they fit easily onto the turn table.

Good "Guts", Poor "Skin"

This microwave was purchased to replace the same model, 6 years old, which had stopped heating but which fit into the space available. I ordered a black model this time instead of stainless steel and am not impressed with the appearance. This one seems to be working just fine but I am disappointed with the quality of the materials. The door feels much lighter and less sturdy than the previous one and the touch-panel has a "wavy" surface where the printed panel was not applied smoothly. I would only give the quality of the visible part of the microwave 3 stars, at most. (And why is the GE logo a flat black color when on my other appliances the logo is white? It looks like someone covered it with black magic marker. ) This microwave has the look of a cheap appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use. The quick preset buttons make it very user friendly. Lots of room/capacity. I upgraded the light below to daylight LED and it is such a beautiful accent to the kitchen. Installation was quick and easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product in stainless steel finish is nice and easy to use. Unfortunately, it only lasted for 1 year and a month. The issue for this one, the microwave kept running without intentionally turning on. I had to unplug as I couldn't figure a way to turn it off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a second GE microwave because our last one made it 23 years without a problem. This one is the updated version of the last one and we have high hopes. Our fridge is GE also and it has been great. Installed the microwave myself with my 92 year old father. Instructions recommend 2 people and I agree! Not complicated, but definite need to be precise and it is too heavy for one person.
I would recommend this to a friend!
