Design Flaw

The microwave cooks well but a real negative is that the turn table and glass tray are mounted so close to the glass tray frequently jumps from the turntable mount. The salesman told me that there was no difference in style or function from my old one. The glass tray was definitely mounted further back inside my earlier GE microwave.

Excellent Microwave

To not have the constant beeping when you can't make it there that second is great. We will only buy GE because they have this feature!

Best Microwave purchase ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We shopped for microwaves on line and then decided to shop and purchase in store. We chose the GE 1.7 Cu. Ft capacity over the counter microwave because of the beautiful design and price. We figured most microwaves were similar when it came to the controls and functions but this GE has many different funtions than what we have had in the past. It has an Add 30 sec control which is pretty cool. Also, you don't have to keep punching in numbers for 1 and 2 minutes it is programmed in. We really like the beverage button that sense's the temp of the beverage, love this funtion. The installation was fairly easy but my husband has installed many microwaves due to his profession. I would say it would be very easy if you were to read the instructions and follow along with the install. We did not do the ventilation to the outside, but the instructions are there if you choose to do so. It does have a high/low surface light which is very nice when cooking and for a night light too. All in all we are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend GE for it's long time existence being in buisness since 1892, that's 133 year folks. They know what they are doing, well done GE.

Poor door design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my microwave, but just realized the door is broke. The design is poor, it is cracked from pulling on the handle to open it. There isn't any other way to open it so its definitely a design flaw. I haven't even had the microwave 3 years. Very disappointed 😞
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
