Not as powerful as other 1000W units

I bought and installed this unit on12/20/16. I have used it several times today and have found that it seems to take about 1 to 2 minutes longer to heat a plate of food. This unit replaced another 1000w unit that I purchased years ago. Other then this the unit seems to be performing well. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

this was bought to replace an old worn out micro - so far so good - wish a how to use guide was included though so far seems to be doing the job - has the feature to eliminate sound - annoying beeps - love it

This is one of four appliances purchased one month ago. I love this product. I Was doing some heavy cooking on my stove and the microwave fan ( auto-sense feature) automatically turns on. I was unable to turn it off until the steam subsided; I like this particular feature. Very happy with this product.

Can't beat GE dependability

I replaced my previous GE microwave with this model. It seems to work well, is relatively quiet and it is attractive. Two things I don't like as well on this model as my previous model (which was 11 years old): The light display onto the range is very poor-it shines only on the back of the range top-not over the middle or the front two burners. If I had been able to actually view this prior to buying this microwave, I wouldn't have bought it. So now I am stuck with a microwave, that I really don't like very well. Two: the number buttons to enter the time are very hard to push. The only consolation I have is the expectation this microwave will last for awhile-previous and current experience with GE appliances shows they are durabl and dependable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this to replace a tabletop oven that was over 20 years old. It still worked except for the display. The wife and I (both in our 60's) followed the directions and had no problem installing the oven over our stove. It has worked flawlessly ever since .

Excellent in every way

We purchased this microwave as part of a complete kitchen remodel in the fall. We don't use it for cooking, just re-heating and occasional thawing. We use the surface light and the timing feature extensively. The microwave is good-looking and the motor is nice and quiet, which is important to us in our open kitchen. Our microwave did not come with a user manual, so we've learned its features over time, mostly by chance. For example, if the 1 is pressed, the microwave comes on and operates for 1 minute, the same when 2 through 9 are pressed. A feature we especially like is that if for example, the 1 is pressed and there isn't anything in the microwave, it does not start. Instead, it gives you a message to let you know the microwave is empty.
