Difficulty to see control pad

very hard to see the control pad not as user friendly as my last microwave.
It also is not as hot as my last microwave, this unit takes about 30 % longer cooking time. Vent fan is also loud.

Works fine, but Keypad difficult to read

Right after this microwave was installed, my wife's initial reaction was "take it back," because the control panel is difficult to read. The surface is too shiny and reflects a lot of light, and the words are not bright enough to be read easily. We have to really concentrate on reading the control panel when operating the microwave oven. It should be much easier to read.

Slate microwave (built in)

Love the slate finish. We bought this product as a 4 pc set for our new kitchen. So far have loved the performance. It is quite, door opens/closes nicely. Heats wonderfully, cleans up easily. However, the button pad is already beginning to show breakdown/bubbling. Afraid numbers will start fading/peeling away ! May have to contact GE for a replacement, and we have only been using the product for less than 6 months now !

Love the sensor cooking

Works great and I'm glad I spent the extra money to get the sensor cooking. No more guessing to get a perfectly baked potato (for a microwave that is). It is also nice that I can cook/heat something in the microwave while at the same time be using the timer feature for something else. Very cool. I also love the occasional reminder beep when I've left something in the microwave (like my reheated coffee... I use to reheat the same cup of coffee over and over because I would keep forgetting about it lol - but no more!). The only thing I don't care for is the beeping when the timer goes off; it is persistently obnoxious, unlike my older microwave that had a few beeps interspersed with silence until you turn the timer off. This microwave just beeps constantly until you turn it off - very annoying (which could be a good thing I guess, but I don't like it).
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT piece of appliance for my new house!

Bought it as it's the right size for my new house and doesn't obstruct my field of vision while cooking as I'm 6' 1" tall.
Also does not hang "low" unlike the others and gives more than ample space for its use.
AND perfect color to contrast with my other appliances!
