Microwave Not Working

I had this microwave delivered on 12/07/2019. It worked until 03/15/2020 and then it’s stop working. It kept saying something about a filter.

We Purchased A Lemon

When functioning, the microwave was easy to use and complimented our other GE Appliances. After 7-8 months, the microwave stopped working. Fortunately, it was still under warranty and a tech came out and had to replace what was probably the motherboard. We have had the microwave now a total of 2.5 yrs and it no longer heats at all and if not closed with just the right amount of pressure in the upper corner, the fan just starts running on its own. I suspect we just were unlucky and bought the lemon of the bunch, because most other reviews I have found were favorable. We are between just scraping it and buying another non-GE model or trying to repair and and wait for the next break down.

Dead after only 2 years

This product worked ok until about a month ago. Appliance repair shops no longer work on microwaves so we are stuck buying a new one.

Works but not excited about it

Don’t get me wrong, this works and has some nice features but it’s loud! The fan doesn’t work as well as the old one did either. It was expensive and for the price, i wasn’t expecting a downgrade. We didn’t buy the cheapest model.

Quit working after 3 months

This product worked well for the first three months and then quit working. Replacement of a part was needed. This is disappointing as our last microwave (not a GE), lasted for many years. We only replaced it with this new one as we wanted to match the microwave with our new stove.

Stopped working after less than 2 years

I use this microwave a few times a week, usually for heating up leftovers. But now it no longer heats my food, I've only had this microwave for about a year and a half. GE has some great troubleshooting steps such as "make sure you aren't using the timer"... very helpful.

This is my second microwave in a little over a year. I had to buy the same one as it matched all the other appliances. I am hoping for better quality this time as it just quit right after the year mark so no warranty.
