I bought this microwave along with the matching dishwasher,refrigerator and oven and have had nuthing but trouble!! Now the microwave had a code that says keypad shortage and won’t work .. for being a little over 2 years old this is just crazy!! Bought 12/26/15
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this model to replace the previous GE Model #: LVM1750SPSS which stopped working after a short 4 years and we purchased the 3 year extended warranty. I hope this one lasts.
I think the display for the Model #: JVM6175SKSS has a poor font on the function buttons it is very small, narrow with little color and hard to read.

Rotating tray makes noise

I like the sleek design. It is eady to clean and works well. The rotating tray makes a drag noise. I've tried turning over the wheel and adjusting it to no avail

eye sight issues

looks great, and seems to cook well. The opening and closing seems to work fine, but I do have some concerns the plastic latches will fail over time, well before my other slate appliaces fail. If you have eye sight issues, this in not the microwave for you. In less than full light, it is tough to read the controls

We bought this microwave because I wanted an over the stove microwave. It is much more spacious than my counter top unit.

Replacement Installation

I was glad to see that this replacement for our prior GE microwave used the same exact mounting instructions/specifications (I did the installation with my grandson's help). Even though the wattage is the same as our prior m/w, this new one seems to be a bit more powerful. The controls are improved (more clear) but conveniently similar to the one we replaced.

I like the microwave except I only have 1 fan speed which is high. The low does not work. Guess I'm going to have to call service about it.
