Hoping for a decent unit

I remodeled my kitchen 18 mos ago. Installed one of these. It died after very little usage. I replaced with same model for ease of reinstall. Hoping I didn't make a mistake in not getting a different brand. Still have original unit in a box in my garage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
