Needed to replace older ge microwave (14 years old). This unit looks great and works much better with more features than the old one. Wife loves it-like they say " HAPPY WIFE-HAPPY LIFE !!!!!!

Just one improvement needed...

Everything works great, but wish there was an option to back-light the control panel buttons. We tend to use the down-facing light as a nightlight and when that is the only light in the kitchen, you can not see the panel well enough to identify the light on/low/off button. If there was an option to back-light the buttons, a user could choose what level of button illumination was desired. Otherwise, quite happy with this unit.

1 Poor feature!

Just installed today! Very easy installation- fit on original wall bracket & used original holes in above cabinet. So far, unit is working very well. Only 1 poor design- the surface light is located too far back on the bottom of the microwave- when it is turned on it only illuminates the control section of the stove & not the cooking surface! My old GE microwave had a light on each side & in the middle of the unit. There would have been plenty of room to place the lights in a similar location on the new unit!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Failed after 13 months.

Encountered an intermittent problem within 12 months. Failed completely at 14 months (bad magneto and diode).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
