Display is way too BRIGHT

I bought because our old GE stopped heating and I hoped the brackets and holes would match. Bracket-yes, holes-no. Minor detail. Once installed, the display is SO BRIGHT. It's like a white BEACON in my kitchen with no way to tone it down. What the heck? Every other appliance, including other GEs are a nice calm green.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fan is way too loud even on low setting and honestly should have more than high and low settings as competitors have up to 5 settings and are much quieter. Doesn't heat near as fast as my last brand either
