Convenience and Simplicity

I purchased this model to replace a 12 year old GE Microwave that was provided by the builder as part of the GE Appliance Package when the house was built in 2005. The new model is a combination of convenience, simplicity, attractiveness and perfectly matches the other GE appliances in the house that are being replaced as their useful life expires. Getting 12 years of service out of any appliance is an exceptional value. That is why I am replacing all of my appliances with GE replacements.

Easy installation!

The installation process was easy since I had an older GE model and the wall mount was already in place. The only difference was the need to drill a separate hole for the electrical cord. It pays to be brand loyal!

Power level button failed

Almost 2 years old and the power level button already failed. Warranty expires at 1 year of course.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review on your microwave. It is very rare to experience an issue with just one feature on the control pad. We would like to offer a few tips we hope will help, as listed below:
The power level may be entered or changed immediately after entering the feature time for Cook Time, Time Defrost, Add 30 Sec or Express Cook. The power level may also be changed during the time countdown.
1. Press Cook Time. 2. Enter cooking or defrosting time 3. Press Power Level. 4. Select desired power level 1-10
Press Start/Pause.
To review additional details for this feature, please take a look at page 13 in the use and care guide, found in our following link:
If you are still having trouble with your power level pad after trying our above suggestions, please disconnect power for a minute or two, to reset the internal circuitry. The outlet for your microwave is located in the cabinet above where the microwave is mounted.
