Microwave fine for reheating

I have had a GE Microwave for the last 7 years in VA and was pleased. We just bought a new home and got the Standard GE package. It is smaller than my other one which isn't much of a problem. One thing that is different is the Popcorn setting. My older one never finished popping all of the kernels but I could just hit it again quickly and it would continue. Not so with this new microwave. It must have a graduated temp control for this setting. I finally just did high power until it was all popped. No big deal.

My old microwave was over 30 years old. It barely worked. My new one heats up food so quickly compared to the old one. Should have bought it long ago.

I bought this only because I wanted a microwave that would match the double oven I had purchased, but I found that it has features that I really appreciate. I love that it reminds you that whatever you put in is ready if you forget to take it out, and I do use the add 30 second feature also.

I bought my GE microwave as a replacement and I'm so glad I did. The features I use most often are easy to use. I like the clean white appearance because it always looks fresh.

I'm not a microwave fan, at best, but I do need and use the Exhaust Vent, since it is above my cooktop. From the first time I used this Vent on this microwave, (which came with this new house four months ago) it has produced an incessant, piercing, and annoying whistling sound, which I unsuccessfully attempted to ignore. In addition, the Vent does not pull steam out into the exhaust but covers up the front of the microwave with moisture and condensation.
