We bought this to replace the 20 yr old GE model in our home when we purchased .
Can I just say Home much I LOVE the slate finish?
We are now the proud owner of an entire kitchen suite of GE Slate finish products!
I couldn’t be happier the 20 year old model stopped working!
Easy to use, easy to clean.
No regrets and this purchase at all!

I bought this microwave this past summer because my old GE microwave finally went out after 14 years. This microwave is comparable to my old one. Some differences are that the turntable is now smaller and embedded down below the surface. Thats okay, it does make it a little harder to clean instead of having a flat surface but does confine spillovers if you have one. The size of the turntable though is a little bothersome. I wish it was larger. I also wish the lighting underneath the microwave was brighter or offered 2 lights one on each side. This model has only one center light and is not very bright lighting up the stovetop. I do love the air vents now pointing to the ceiling so you don't see all the dust and grime and grease that is hard to clean out on them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After a month's use, I am very happy with it except the panel is very hard to read for these older eyes. Love the look and color - Slate. There was a slight learning curve from previous microwaves. I often heat for less than minutes and this requires extra steps, not just tapping 20 for seconds or you will get 2 min or 20 minutes.
