We had to replace our 18 month old GE Microwave due to it wouldnt heat up anymore and it was cheaper to buy a new one than fix it. We bought another GE so it would match the rest of the appliances. Once installed we realized it didn't make any sound at all with the timer or anything. Turns out the speaker was bad! Warranty fixed but must not have any quality control if this left the factory already malfunctioning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It broke after a year and a half

Simple Elegance

This product is a basic necessity for me...no bells or whistles. It fulfills it’s purpose and does it well. I like the fact that you can mute its alarm; I like the underbelly light choices. The ventilation is surprisingly efficient and, the thing just looks good! I am a very satisfied consumer.

GE Microwave

We are senior citizen on a very small fixed income. We had to replace this same basic New GE model microwave after just over 2 years. Pretty sad that a brand new GE microwave quit working. Of course it only has a 1 year warranty. Very sad indeed.

Great for what we use a microwave for.

Works great and a good match, Black Stainless, paint job to match our new range. Only thing that was needed would be a bump out kit if you intend to microwave in recirculating mode to get blown air out from cabinets above vent. Instead of buying the kit, I built the wall out and inch behind the microwave that worked probably better than the expense of a
bump out kit that should come with the oven.
