Surprisingly cheap

I’ve had this microwave for about a year and a half, and have used it daily. Today when I went to open the handle it detached from the door. I understand a screw might’ve come loose inside, but the tinfoil stainless sticker on the handle cracked, as did the plastic, so it cannot be repaired. A replacement door costs almost as much as a new unit. I’m disappointed in the quality of this unit, and I fear GE’s are no longer built to last.

poor door alignment, DO BUY the longest extended warranty available. this is our third microwave in 5.5 years. don't pay list price, deals everywhere

Disappointed With Microwave and Stove

There is NO LED lighting. The dealer said YES this has LED lighting. Light location is VERY POOR all the way to the back of the unit. Soon as the light is turned on it's hot. In addition the exhaust fan does NOTHING at all to keep steam away. The fan is SUPER loud. On both settings. All the steam from boiling goes right into the microwave and wets everything, I mean dripping wet. You need to open the microwave door and wipe it out. Have had it repaired two times already. Stove is another story.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dont work half the time

The microwave dont work half the time. I am waiting on a repair man to come to the house to work on it. Had to do the same this to the other microwave that I just replaced. While was a 5 yrs old microwave that is the same as my new one.

Great microwave!

I got this one specifically because it has a white interior. I know that the dark grey interior is supposedly a step up, but you can't see your food when it is cooking! The white interior on this one lets me see when my oatmeal is about to boil over, and I can stop it before I have a mess to clean up. My only recommendation would be to make the base for the turntable a little bigger so the glass plate stays better balanced.

GE listened to every single one of the improvements I sent to them over the past 11 years. When we upgraded our stove, we wanted a perfectly matching microwave. Now only did we get exactly what we wanted in the "look" of our kitchen, but we also got a microwave that has all the features we were hoping to get. Thank you, GE.

DEAD Magntron - cracked magnets

Ours is a 2014 model. It is now DEAD, after only 5 years old. The main part, the magnetron, is dead. The two big magnets inside it are both broken - big cracks! Not worth repairing or replacing the magnetron. Piece of scrap junk now. Previous microwave from another maker was still going after 20 years with no issues.

Gets the Job Done

I really like this microwave. It does a great job reheating leftovers and beverages. I only wish it was more flush with the cabinets but other than that, we have been pleased with it so far.
